Investigation Lands Lawrence Police Chief On Administrative Leave

The City of Lawrence has placed its police chief on administrative leave because of an ongoing investigation.

The announcement of Chief Roy Vasque's leave came on the city's Twitter just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25. 

Captain Michael McCarthy has been appointed Deputy Chief in the meantime, the city said.
